Newfoundland Stamp Stories

Newfoundland Stamp Stories — 2016

This was an informative and entertaining look at Newfoundland’s postage stamps. Why, for example, is there a swastika on one stamp? Why is there a logging scene from Maine on another? It pointed out false information that appeared on some stamps and illustrated clearly where printers took photographic license on others. Many of these were Brown’s own discoveries. There were also intriguing stories about the people on the stamps, such as Queen Alexandria and the six children of George V.
