Newfoundland’s Lost Places (poster) — 2019
Newfoundland’s Lost Places was a large poster pinpointing the location of over 400 communities in Newfoundland that had been abandoned. Many of the places identified were abandoned in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries; most during the 20th century when a major government Resettlement Program enticed residents to move to larger developing centers.
An alphabetical listing of the communities was printed around the map’s edge and a code given for locating each place.
